Aloe Vera Base
The three St. Tropez tanning products have an Aloe Vera base that takes the tan into the skin. Therefore it is very important not to over rub or massage the tanning products as this can result in taking the tan off the skin.
Tinted Guide Colour
TheAuto-Bronzant,Whipped Bronze andBronzing Mist all have a tinted guide colour so you can see exactly where you are putting the tan. The guide colour is a pure vegetable dye that gives the 'instant tan' look. After four hours when the tan has developed, the guide colour will wash off leaving you with an even, golden tan.
One Strength Tan
St. Tropez develops to maximum strength dependant upon skin tone. It is impossible to put too much product onto the skin. As long as the surface area of the skin is covered, the tan will not streak. To obtain a darker tan, reapply after the original application has developed. For a lighter coloured tan, blend with St. Tropez Body Moisturiser.
Whipped Bronze and Bronzing Mist
These products have a finer application and do not last as long on the skin, meaning exfoliation is not a necessity although results will be even more impressive if you complete Step 1. For perfect results it is advisable to moisturise the elbows, knees and feet with St Tropez Body Moisturiser.
The application of the Whipped Bronze andBronzing Mist is designed to be quick and easy. It therefore requires no mixing of the products with the moisturiser as the finished result is not as dark as the original St. Tropez Auto-Bronzant. Simply smooth either the mousse or the spray onto the skin ensuring all areas are covered. the product will dry within 60 seconds, so gloves are a necessity to avoid staining of the hands. No buffing is required.
How To Do It!
Step 1 - Exfoliate in the bath or shower using St. Tropez Body Polish concentrating on the elbows, hands, knees, ankles and feet.
Step 2 - Apply St. Tropez Body Moisturiser to the elbows, knees, ankles and feet.
Step 3
i) The Face - The tan can be applied full strength to the face or custom blended to a lighter shade by mixing the product in equal proportions withSt. Tropez Body Moisturiser. The more moisturiser you use, the lighter the tan will be. Spread the tan/mixture evenly to the face. Using a mix of tan and moisturiser blend the mixture down towards the collar bone. Wash your hands.
ii) The Legs - Put on a pair of tight fittinglatex gloves to prevent staining of the hands. Apply the Auto-Bronzant with an even stroking movement finishing at the ankle. Work the tan gently over the area until it turns into a creamy consistency. Blend the tan into the feet usingBody Moisturiser. With a tissue remove any tan from the toenails. Check that you have not missed any areas. If you have simply fill in the gaps.
iii) The Mid Section - Repeat ii taking the tan up to the neck on the front and back of your body. Ensure you do not miss any areas.
iv) The Arms - Apply the product to the outer arms finishing at the wrist. Mix the tan and moisturiser in equal proportions and apply to the inner arm taking to the wrist.
v) The Hands - Remove gloves and throughly moisturize your hands. Apply a small amount of tan to the back of one hand and rub together with the back of the other. Blend the tan into the hands using moisturiser. Tissue off tan from the palms and finger nails.
1. The guide colour may look slightly streaky. This is normal. After the tan has dried gently stroke off any streaks using a Soft Mitt. If you are tanning in the evening before bed, the buffing is not necessary.
2. Shower off the colour guide at least 4 hours after the application. The longer you leave the tan on, the darker the finished result.
3. Use St. Tropez Body Moisturiser daily to maintain your tan.
4. Ensure your tan fades evenly. Exfoliate every other day with St. Tropez Body Polish.
5. In the sun, use Step 4, St Tropez Sunscreen. This will not strip off your St. Tropez tan.
6. For a more dramatic, darker look to the face apply St. Tropez Powder Bronzer.
For best results use withing six months of opening.
As with all beauty products, it is recommended that you carry out a patch test.
