Jane Iredale Make-up Brush Application Technique
Using the correct make-up brushes when applying makeup is essential to get the best results. The Jane Iredale makeup brushes are the same brushes that a professional makeup artist would use. The Handi brush is used to apply the Jane Iredale purepressed powder, it is made from goat hair and is hand tied. Lightly brush the Handi brush over the pressed powder and apply in downward strokes, using small circular movements blending the powder into the skin. If you need more coverage then just apply another layer of pressed powder over the skin and keep blending using small circular movements. The Handi brush comes in a retractable size that fits neatly into a hand bag.
One of the distinguishing features of a good quality brush is the standard and type of natural hair used and how that hair is shaped and attached to the handle by the ferrule. Good quality make-up brushes are referred to as hand-tied, this means the hair is hand moulded to the desired shape and is cut at the ferrule end (the metal collar between the hair and handle). This maintains the integrity of the natural hair with its fine tapered end. This tapered effect makes the hair feel soft, picks up the mineral powder more efficiently and disburses them more evenly on the skin
